Globally, land transport accounts for the largest share of freight traffic and is an integral part of almost every transport service.
In addition to traditional road transport, rail transport is also included. ecosy always calculates emissions according to vehicle type – also proportionally based on tonne-kilometers (TKM) delivered.
Water
Container ships are generally used for long-distance transport. Inland waterway transport can also be calculated using specific parameters. ecosy calculates emissions based on international waterways from port to port and separately lists the land routes traveled!
Air
Especially in international express shipping, aircraft are used in a variety of ways. ecosy calculates emissions based on international flight routes from airport to airport and itemizes the overland journeys separately!
Intermodular
All transports begin and end on the road. Therefore, we take the transport modes used into account in all transports in the appropriate proportion.
Good to know
Upon request, ecosy will calculate only the pure transport costs as well as comparison scenarios in various constellations, which we will design together with you if necessary.
Due to the separate modeling of each transport medium, the results of all transport services can be analyzed according to the means of transport used.
Within the scope of the other services offered, the procedure described here is always an integral part of the projects and does not need to be commissioned separately.
